New Guide Showcases Malaysia’s World-Class Medical Tourism Facilities

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - (Business Wire) Healthy Travel Media and the Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia (APHM) announce the launch of Patients Beyond Borders: Malaysia Edition, published in English for international distribution. Dato’ Sri Dr. Ng Yen Yen, Malaysia’s Minister of Tourism, will formally introduce the Malaysia Edition on 23 July at the APHM/ASQua/ISQua Conference and Exhibition 2009 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Produced in collaboration with Malaysia's Tourism Ministry and supported by hospitals and related organizations, the 240-page guidebook features 16 color pages and offers an in-depth overview of Malaysia’s 20+ international hospitals, selected health travel agents, recovery and guest accommodations, and area travel information.

“With some of the best healthcare in Asia, Malaysia receives visitors seeking medical procedures from more than 30 countries,” says Healthy Travel Media CEO Josef Woodman. “Malaysia’s superior medical services are within a six-hour flight of nearly two billion healthcare consumers.”

“Malaysia’s quality healthcare system ranks among the best in Asia,” says Dato’ Dr. Jacob Thomas, President of APHM. “Value-conscious patients impacted by the present economic climate will find costs here among the lowest of any international medical travel destination.”

Patients Beyond Borders: Malaysia Edition will be available in bookstores and at online retail channels worldwide.
